Il progetto Yalda nasce da un'idea di Berna e Lale', lui alle prese con synth, chitarra ed elettronica, lei alla voce e percussioni.
Lale', per meta' di origine iraniana, sceglie nel cantato di giocare con le parole in lingua farsi, mescolando scritti della rivoluzionaria poetessa Forough Farrokhzad e testi personali.
Insieme decidono di sperimentare l'unione fra ritmi elettronici quasi industriali e la voce lirica che puo' ricordare gli esperimenti sonori di Lingua Ignota e Diamanda Galas.
Hanno esordito discograficamente con una cassetta in edizione limitata intitolata "Badam Zamini" testimoniante uno dei loro primi concerti in assoluto.
Dopo un paziente lavoro nello studio personale di Berna (Studio K) il duo ha dato vita al disco d'esordio "Tavallodi Digar".
